  • Though a lot of issues you might have with your computer can only be properly handled by a professional, there are a number of things you can do to help protect yourself and prevent issues. Some of these include keeping your Windows Updates up to date and occasionally checking for updated versions of your favorite programs. Settings System Restore points every couple of weeks can also be invaluable if your computer is ready for a crash you're not prepared for.

    Keep your web browser up to date too! Many newer sites don't display properly in older versions of Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer.
